A WEB BASED SYSTEM FOR ONLINE STUDENT REGISTRATION. (CASE STUDY OF FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OF AGRICULTURE UMUDIKE)

CHAPTER ONE
1.0  INTRODUCTION
Due to the increase of student seeking for admit ion into the university today year by year many institution today has found it very difficult in accessing and redirecting student on the process of examine all there file through the  manual way of Record keeping, the mask turn up of Student’ file have increase which the registry have find it very difficult . to locate and access each student file, Which can take them up to twelve to twenty four hours to locate. A student file, that is while today every higher learning Institution are changing from manual method to electronic system of registration Into the institution. The online student registration system, the system provide For student the option to register courses without the adviser/registrar prior approval offered by the colleges during their form selection by adding and dropping the non-relevant information, However when the registration period is over all previously registered class by the student will be viewable in the system database.

THE IMPACT OF INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY (ICT) IN NIGERIAN UNIVERSITY LIBRARIES (A CASE STUDY OF JOHN HARRIS LIBRARY AND BENSON IDAHOSA UNIVERSITY)

ABSTRACT
Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has brought unprecedented Changes and transformation to academic libraries and information services. Taking into cognizance the recent trends in ICT and the Nigerian situation, this work elicits the impact of ICT in Nigerian University Libraries. The primary Objectives were to ascertain the level of automation; to determine the usefulness of ICT resources; the effectiveness of ICT resources; the required Skills in using ICT resources and the factors militating against the effective use of ICT. John Harris Library, University of Benin and Benson Idahosa University Libraries, both in Edo State of Nigeria were used as case study. The survey research design was employed and the instrument used for data collection was the Questionnaire. Simple tables and percentages were used to analyze the data collected.

DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF HOSTEL ALLOCATION/RESERVATION SYSTEM (A CASE STUDY OF FEDERAL POLYTHENIC NEKEDE, OWERRI)

CHAPTER ONE
                                      INTRODUCTION
1.1Introduction
Over the years, computer has grown from the basis of thermionic valves which is a bulky and high power consuming systems to the miniaturized microprocessor-based computer which is more portable. This led to easy acquisition of computer system has resulted to which talked about “Computer Age”.
Almost all human activities cannot be effectively and efficiently done without the computer being applied or mentioned in the course of action.

DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF A WEB BASED TIME TABLE SYSTEM (A CASE STUDY OF COMPUTER SCIENCE TECHNOLOGY DEPARTMENT, FEDERAL COLLEGE OF AGRICULTURE ISHIAGU EBONYI STATE.)

ABSTRACT
Web –Based Time Table and course allocation is a research work designed to effectively manage information system for a tertiary institution. The system was designed to be accessed by students and lecturers alike to get update on lectures and practical time table thus eliminating all forms of delay and stress involved in the manual system. The web-based system was implemented using Apache, MYSQL for database and PHP language.

DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF COMPUTERIZED EMPLOYEES INFORMATION SYSTEM (A CASE STUDY OF FEDERAL COLLEGE OF AGRICULTURE ISHIAGU, EBONYI STATE)

CHAPTER ONE
1.0                                        INTRODUCTION
A designed and well implemented computerized employee information system can provide smooth running of employee management in Nigerian Universities; but up till now, offices were usually equipped with paraphernalia of stores, Cabinets, shelves and lots of files in file jackets. This also include simply put Information retrieval, processing and storage.
Therefore, without ready and processed information, work would be very difficult if not impossible.

DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF COMPUTERIZED INVENTORY CONTROL SYSTEM (A CASE STUDY OF NIGERIA BREWERIES PLC)

ABSTRACT
This research work is concise and generally summarizes the activities duly carried out in the design and implementation of a computerized inventory control system for a manufacturing organization. The system is designed to efficiently handle the movement and tracking of goods through the replacement of human workers by technology. The manual method or intervention is labour intensive, costly, and error prone and cannot ensure the inventory remains up-to-date due to oversight and internal shrinkage. With the proposed new system, inventory can be updated in real time without product movement, scanning, or human involvement. The automated system allows inventory status to be determined and shipping and receiving documents to be generated automatically triggering automatic orders for products that are low in inventory. The study outlines the main concepts of the analysis and design methodology of the proposed system, compares it to the existing and goes further to explain the design and implementation of the system using Visual Basic 6.0 for the database. The fact finding techniques employed is interview, observation, online and library research.

DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF A COMPUTERISED STADIUMINFORMATION SYSTEM (A CASE STUDY OF NNAMDI AZIKIWE STADIUM, ENUGU STATE)

CHAPTER ONE

1.0                                           INTRODUCTION
1.1 Background of the Study
The term information system evolved from a broader area of study; management information system(MIS), when computers were first used in mid 1950s, the applications were primarily. The simple processing of transaction records and preparations of business documents and standard reports. Davis(1997). This use was termed data processing (DP) or electronic data processing (EDP).
By the mid, 1960s, many users and builders of information processing systems developed a more comprehensive vision of what computers could do for an organization. This vision was termed, a management information system (MIS). It enlarged the scope of data processing to add systems for supporting management and administrative activities including planning, scheduling, analysis and decision making.
In the 1980s and 1990s, their was merging of computer and communication technologies. The organizational use of information technology was extended to internal networks (intranet) local area networks, external networks that connect an organization to its suppliers and customers and communication systems that enable employee to work alone or in groups. Davis (1997).
