INTERNAL AUDITING AS AN AID TO MANAGEMENT (A STUDY OF HOUSEHOLD PRODUCTS COMPANY, ORLU, IMO STATE)

ABSTRACT
This research work deals with internal audit as an aid to management. It aims at finding out the role of internal audit in management decision making in organizations. It is a survey research. Data were collected from primary and secondary sources which included using questionnaires, personal observations, text book, journal and internet. Sample of 92 were collected by random sample method. Three hypotheses were formulated and tested using Z-test statistics, while questionnaires were analyzed using simple percentages. We discovered among other things that internal audit assists management in managerial decisions. We recommended among other things that the auditors be trained in forensic accounting to enable them to be more effective in their duties.

impact of internal audit on organizational performance (A case study of Anamco Motors)

CHAPTER ONE
1.0                                        INTRODUCTION
1.1. Background of the Study
Internal auditing is an independent, objective assurance and consulting activity designed to add value and improve an organization's operations. It helps an organization accomplish its objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes (Chamber (2008)).

EFFECT OF INTERNAL AUDIT ON FINANCIAL PERFORMANCE OF COMMERCIAL BANKS

ABSTRACT
Financial performance requires appropriate internal audit practices to enhance efficiency. For the purpose of this study the researcher sought to determine the effect of internal audit on financial performance in commercial banks in Kenya. Internal audit was looked at from the perspective of internal audit standards, professional competency, internal controls and independence of internal audit. The study selected one senior manager in the finance department. The researcher administered a survey questionnaire to each member of the target population since it was the most appropriate tool to gather information. Quantitative analysis and regression analysis were used as data analysis technique. Descriptive statistics such as mean, standard deviation and frequency distribution were used in the analysis of data. Data presentation was done by use of tables for ease of understanding and interpretation.

AUTOMATED ELECTRONIC LIQUID LEVEL DICTATOR

ABSTRACT

In this project we introduce the notion of liquid level monitoring and management within the context of electrical conductivity of the liquid. More specifically, we investigate the microcontroller based liquid level sensing and controlling in a wired and wireless environment. Liquid Level management approach would help in reducing the home power consumption and as well as liquid overflow. Furthermore, it can indicate the amount of liquid in the tank that can support Global liquid types including cellular data loggers, satellite data transmission systems for remote liquid monitoring system. Moreover, cellular phones with relative high computation power and high quality graphical user interface became available recently. From the users perspective it is required to reuse such valuable resource in a mobile application. Finally, we proposed a web and cellular based monitoring service protocol would determine and senses liquid level globally.

MOBILE BANKING TECHNOLOGY (A CASE STUDY OF SUSU MICROFINANCE BANK)

ABSTRACT
This research work designed a mobile banking system which was meant to improve the rigors of conventional banking. With this design, customers would be able to transact business via mobile devices. The programming languages used to design this program are visual basic and PHP.

DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF AN E-LEARNING WEBSITE (A CASE STUDY OF THE DEPARTMENT OF COMPUTER SCIENCE)

ABSTRACT

This research explored existing technologies used in the development of electronic tutorial materials and then designed an e-learning website that would teach students of computer science online. This was to replace the traditional method of classroom teaching which is associated with its innate flaws. The design was implemented using HTML (Hypertext Markup Language), and SQL (Structured Query Language) server for the online learning platform tutorial application package, and an e-book.

DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF COMPUTERISED DATA ENCRIPTION SYSTEM A CASE STUDY OF COMPUTER SCIENCE TECHNOLOGY DEPARTMENT FEDERAL COLLEGE OF AGRICULTURE ISHIAGU

                                    ABSTRACT
Computer security is a process of protecting computer system and  information from harm and unauthorized use. The most important security tool beyond human integrity used is cryptography. Cryptography is used to hide data from public view and to ensure that the integrity and privacy of any data sent across a network has not been compromised. This project work helps you to understand what cryptography is all about and the procedures used to achieve this aim, it explains the design and implementation of computer security: data encryption and decryption and key hash algorithm. The programming language used in the development of this project is Microsoft Visual basic. In this project the researcher achieved all she has in mind in designing this program by making sure that the integrity and the privacy of an individual is not compromise. In conclusion, security in communication and network system have come a long way to ensure that information transmitted between two or more parities involved in a conversation enjoys the benefits of privacy. the researcher suggested that developers and engineers need to research more on computer security in order to provide a stronger security unit on information and data.
